Title: More Bitcoin Hack in the past few months - Time to change?
Post by: Italian Panic on Sep 25, 2026, 08:54 AM
We have all witnessed the rise in hacks targeting third party systems involving Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in general, all due to third parties whose systems have been found to be flawed.

Is it time to change our way of thinking? To abandon third parties and return to full self custody?

I heard something today where Bitget had an issue about hacking, though it seems like the bitget team itself can resolve it immediately for sure.

But of course there is still the concern that when it comes to Cex platforms, we can expect that there will be and there will be a breach there and usually these issues happen with hot wallets unlike cold wallets which I don't know of. So at the end of the day it's still up to us to decide what to follow.
